thriving in your creative life and business
Last Friday, we had our live Play Date with the New Year -- an afternoon of creativity and play and conscious entry leading up to January 1, 2013.
And it was wonderful.
I can't say it enough: the Play Daters are the most inspiring group of people I've known.
How did my own Play Date go, you ask?
This was our fifth extended all-day dance-mix Play Date, one that lasts more than our usual hour.
I have not been spending enough time for 'Me Who' lately.
Me Who Has a Favorite House Guest for a Week.
Me Who Has a Peaceful and Lovely Thanksgiving.
Me Who Has a Good Relationship with the Holiday Season.
Me Who Mindfully Enters the New Year.
Me Who Has Red Hair taught me this.
So I'm wondering about Me Who Has a Week-long Visitor? What does she (me) need? What is she like?
Today, I'm doing something I've never done before:
A private 'Day of Secret Play' with Eleanor, for top-secret planning purposes.
I've had 'Days of Secret Play' for the Society before, but never just me. Or just us.

Today's Play Date: get out of Cranky Town.
It's actually the day before Tuesday, the official day of Play Dates, as I'm writing this, but it's possible that my trip to Cranky Town may drag out over a few days.
At the same time, I'm excited.
I have a Brilliance client later today!
Preparing for take-off.
Last week, I flew paper airplanes.
I was hanging out with my Society buddies in the secret lair, Play-Dating.
And what I decided to do was: to de-clutter my project binder.
I can draw a labyrinth now!
Well, at least a simple one.
That's thanks to Dave Rowley, who gave us a seriously fascinating introduction to labyrinths and led us in exercises using these ancient symbols as part of our 'Day of Secret Play' this past weekend.
And what a day of play it was!
The many awesome things about our day:
'Are people going to think I'm creating some kind of false urgency thing? Ugh.'
That's what I wondered after I announced to my Inbox Goodness peeps, and to you, that access for new members to the Society of the Secret Play Date will end on September 30.
You know what happens at the beginning of September.
After the lovely laziness of summer, the resting and the filling-up, comes the delicious desire to do.
To get into the swing of things, to look at the projects you put aside (for excellent reasons involving a hammock) back in June, to dream up new adventures.
And you know what can help make that happen?
What if I don't have the words?Back in April, I wrote:
It was really helpful in getting to know some of these bigger marketing ideas and definitely great in getting the ball rolling on how to up the Anthropologists marketing strategy!
