You've got something that needs doing.

Maybe it's stalled.

Maybe it keeps getting pushed to the back burner.

But you really want to do it!

Or, you're tired of tapping at your keyboard.

You're weary of circling around the internet.

You'd love to have more play and more making in your life.

Here's what you do:

You join the Society of the Secret Play Date.

I joined the Society of the Secret Play Date on a whim, feeling a little skeptical. I'd tried Play-Dating on my own with some success, but it was hard to make the time to do it. Knowing that we have scheduled Play Date calls gave me a reason to commit to doing it. Now, every time I have a Secret Play Date call I wonder, why don't I do this all the time? -- Maureen Carruthers, Low Hanging Fruit Communications

What is the Society Secret Play Date?

It's a way to bring more curiosity and play into your life and business.

It's a way to sneakily break through the stuck in whatever you're working on.

It's a way to connect in real time with some fabulous people who are rooting for you.

The best part? Those ah-ha moments.

You shift out of that purely mental level and get in touch with the physical world, while your brain whirs away in the background.

With no special supplies, just whatever's at hand.

If you have art or craft supplies, that's great.

But you could also use highlighters, dry-erase markers, wite-out, aluminum foil, food coloring, ketchup ... you see where I'm going with this.

I got so much from the process. I was completely stuck on writing my ebook and doing the Play Date sparked a whole new way of seeing the project. I continued working all through the day on what came up. I can actually see how it's going to look now, and that makes such a difference. It was such a productive and enjoyable experience, Thank you! -- Dave Rowley, artist and creativity coach.

Why?

Because switching gears can energize you.

It can spark new ideas or brilliant solutions.

Your brain doesn't grind to a halt when you take a break from problem-solving.

Your brain loves a puzzle and it won't stop til it has the answer.

Secret Play Date helps your brain keep at it, while you have some fun.

This morning I told myself very, very seriously that there is just no way I have time for another Secret Playdate and at that exact moment I said well, then there is just no way I can skip it. Because it’s exactly when you’re most stressed out that a break for creativity can make an important difference.

Much like last time, I didn’t have a clue that all of this was waiting to come to the surface. And that is its brilliance and power: it lets that other part of your brain come out and play, and it feels so good because you had no idea you were longing for that so badly.

I wanted a simple answer: how to fix the budget and make it work. The numbers themselves knew the simple truth: if you don’t resist it, it’s not even broken. Thanks, Maryann, and thank you Secret Playdate! So awesome, so colorful, so creative, and all on a rainy gray Tuesday. -- Jesse Keen, My Seed House.

What happens at our secret meetings?

A private hotline number and secret code number gets you into the hide-out.

At the appointed time, you call the Secret Play Date hotline and check in with me and the rest of the Play Date Society. (Code names are encouraged!)

We are sworn to secrecy (and the calls are not recorded), so your privacy is protected.

We briefly go through our plans for the Play Date, and I'll have tips to share.

Then, we'll get off the phone and get with the playing!

An hour later, you'll call the hotline and share what you learned ('I was molding cookie dough when it hit me: the solution to my bookkeeping dilemma!')

And celebrate!
